The Fighting Irish gained another top commitment this weekend after officially landing 4-Star wide receiver Rico Flores Jr. The 6’1 talented athlete from Folsom, CA chose Notre Dame over Ohio State and Georgia.
The decision comes following his electric performance at the ESPN Elite 300 camp where he won wide receiver MVP against the nation’s most highly rated players. Through 15 games in his Junior season at Folsom High School, he racked up 11 touchdowns and over 1,100 yards.
Flores will join an already stacked recruiting class which has been making some major moves this off-season. With his commitment, Notre Dame now has the #1 rated 2023 recruiting class.
Bringing his California Swag to South Bend, the Irish look for this dynamic play-maker to make an immediate impact to their offense in the years to come. With his speed, crisp route running, and dominant hands, Rico Flores will be one of the first highly coveted recruits to play under first-year Head Coach Marcus Freeman.
In 2023, he will have the opportunity to showcase his abilities in several nationally televised games against Ohio State, Clemson, and USC.
